Farense forward Mohamed Belloumi has expressed his desire to leave with Leeds United said to be interested, according to Rivalite.
The online outlet reported on 28 August that Belloumi hasn’t hidden the fact that he wants to leave since the start of the transfer window.
Leeds aren’t the only team vying for his transfer, however, as the likes of Marseille, FC Porto, Sporting Lisbon and Braga are all interested in acquiring the 22-year-old.
Leeds United signing Mohamed Belloumi would make a lot of sense
Belloumi’s name is likely one that won’t have been heard of by many Leeds fans. The attacker is naturally a right-winger but has been used in both left-wing and attacking midfield.
Last term he was solely used on the right-hand side of the pitch and had the most prolific season of his career in Portugal’s top flight.
Throughout the 35 games he played, Belloumi contributed to 12 goals across all competitions and was one of the club’s most important players.
He has a keen eye for goal and is still just 22 years old so has plenty of time to develop into an even better player than he already is.
Since the exits of both Crysencio Summerville and Georginio Rutter, the Whites have been linked with a plethora of wingers with names such as Roland Sallai being thrown into the equation.
Whilst nothing is yet set in stone, the transfer of Belloumi which has only been mentioned over the last couple of days [A Bola, 28 August], would make a lot of sense.
In other Leeds United news, a £15m update has emerged as the Whites are set to hold talks to sign a player with 90 Premier League appearances.
