Premier League club ‘would move’ for Leeds Utd star if England’s £60m Euro 2024 star is sold

A Premier League club ‘will move’ for one of Leeds United’s key players this summer if they end up cashing in on their £60m-rated who is currently in England’s Euro 2024 squad.

Leeds are well aware they will have to sell players this summer after reports emerged that the club still owe £190m in player transfers. Crysencio Summerville looks as if he could be the obvious one that goes.

Liverpool, Chelsea, West Ham, Fulham and Bournemouth are all interested in the Dutch winger, who is reportedly rated between £35m and £40m. Now, a new report claims Crystal Palace are also interested.

Indeed, the Mirror say that both Michael Olise and Eberechi Eze are attracting interest after excellent bouts of form during Palace’s stunning run of results during the second half of the 2023-24 season.

Eze’s form was so good that Gareth Southgate included him in his preliminary 33-man squad for Euro 2024, scoring five goals and laying on two assists in his last six Premier League games for The Eagles.

Crystal Palace eye Leeds United star as Eberechi Eze replacement

But it isn’t just England that Eze has won admirers with. A report from Football Transfers says Tottenham want to lure Eze across London, for a fee of £60m and with Spurs in Europe it is likely to tempt the star.

Palace are preparing in the background for such a bid as Spurs look to build on their fifth-placed finish under Ange Postecoglou. The Mirror say they have identified Summerville as a replacement if Eze exits.

Summerville looks destined for the Premier League and the Dutchman will now have to weigh up which club in the top tier suits him, with Leeds seemingly keen to rake in a heap load of cash for his signature.

Why Summerville’s sale is absolutely key for Financial Fairplay

If Leeds get anything close the figures being touted about, then it represents a huge profit which in the eyes of Financial Fairplay is a massive tick. Summerville joined Leeds from Feyenoord back in 2020.

But it was the fee that Leeds paid to land the Netherlands U21 man, a bargain £1.3m. Liverpool boss Arne Slot even said he wished his old side never cashed in on the picket-sized winger, especially for so low.

While Victor Orta gains plenty of criticism, the signing of Summerville is one massive positive and will help The 49ers get on the right side of the margins when it comes to Profit & Sustainability rules.
