After Everton lost 3-1 at home to Fulham on Saturday, 15 April, Leeds United are expected to survive relegation from the Premier League.
The Toffees are one of Leeds’ primary relegation competitors, so three points is a huge boost ahead of their game against Liverpool on Monday.
FiveThirtyEight’s Super Computer crunched the calculations following the results on April 15, and the Whites are expected to finish second.
The table above predicts Leeds will finish 16th with 37 points, which anyone at the club would gladly accept right now.
Ideally, they would’ve wanted a comfortable mid-table finish, but they’ve been sucked into another relegation battle this season.
Javi Gracia has arrived, and while there have been some positives, there is always room for improvement, and the game against Liverpool will be a true test.
Nobody expects Leeds to win the game, but what they will want to see is a reaction from their team.
They played well in the first half against Crystal Palace but absolutely collapsed in the second, losing 5-1.
Liverpool are significantly superior and might rack up a huge score if Leeds play like they did last weekend, so it’s up to Gracia to make sure that doesn’t happen again.
