Supercomputer makes shocking Leeds United relegation prediction after a surprise EPL twist

Everton are currently the second-favorites to be relegated from the Premier League this season, following Nottingham Forest’s shock victory over Brighton on Wednesday night.

Steve Cooper’s team rallied from behind to beat the high-flying Seagulls 3-1, lifting them out of the relegation zone and up to 17th in the table.

FiveThirtyEight’s computer analyzed the figures and currently estimates Everton have a 63% likelihood of relegation.

As you can see, Leicester are expected to finish 16th with a 34% risk of relegation, whereas Leeds are forecast to finish 17th and achieve safety with a 45% chance of relegation.

The three clubs anticipated to be relegated are Nottingham Forest, Everton, and Southampton.

Forest’s surprising victory over Brighton has altered the scene significantly.

Before the game, FiveThirtyEight’s supercomputer estimated that Everton had a 58% chance of relegation and were expected to finish 18th.

They appear to be doomed at this point.

The Blues have yet to play in this run of midweek games, but a match against Newcastle United at Goodison Park on Thursday night (27 April) will be difficult.

Under Eddie Howe, Newcastle are aiming for a top-four finish and qualification for next season’s Champions League.

And, after dismantling Tottenham and thrashing them 6-1 at the weekend, it’s difficult to see the Toffees coming away with anything.

Our final five games are away to Leicester, away to Brighton, at home to Manchester City, away to Wolves, and at home to Bournemouth.
