How Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall reacted to James Maddison joining Tottenham Hotspur makes interesting reading following reports that the Leicester City star is now keen to join Ange Postecoglou’s side.
There is an argument that Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall has been one of the best players in the Championship this season. The 25-year-old has scored 10 goals and contributed 12 assists for Enzo Maresca’s side.
Leicester remain on course to seal an immediate return to the Premier League. But it would appear that the midfielder’s future at the King Power Stadium is somewhat uncertain whatever happens.
It was reported by 90min this week that Dewsbury-Hall will cost close to £40 million if the Foxes are promoted. But a fee of £25 million will get a deal done if they fall short.

Interestingly, it appears that he would like the chance to join Tottenham Hotspur.
The report from 90min claims that Dewsbury-Hall’s preference would be to sign for Spurs and be reunited with James Maddison. Maddison has apparently raved about playing for the club.
Tottenham have previously had the midfielder on their radar. And if Maddison gets wind of the possibility of Dewsbury-Hall leaving, surely he will be encouraging his club to make a move.
Certainly, what Dewsbury-Hall posted on social media following Maddison’s move to Tottenham makes interesting reading now.
‘You deserve this’
He took to Instagram, and insisted that Maddison deserved the move to North London.
Obviously, Dewsbury-Hall was not being disrespectful towards Leicester. They had just been relegated, so it was inevitable that Maddison would move on. And he had earned the chance to remain on the bigger stage.
But clearly, he felt that it was a fantastic move for his former teammate. And the fact that they apparently maintain a close relationship suggests that he would struggle to turn Tottenham down if they come calling this summer.
