‘Is sad not to…: Abdul Fatawu sends message to ‘amazing’ Leicester City fans after ‘sad’ Man Utd defeat

One Leicester City star has sent a message to fans after the heavy defeat to Man United.

Leicester City have now gone four games in all competitions in the 2024/25 season without a win, with the most recent defeat coming at the hands of Man United.

After the 3-0 defeat to the Red Devils at Old Trafford, the fanbase appeared quite ejected, with some calling for Foxes boss Steve Cooper to be sacked.

Cooper made it abruptly clear that the game saw his side go out with very little spirit and faith, and that certainly reflected in many of the individual performances on the pitch. Victor Kristiansen was one who put in a fairly lightweight showing against Man United.

However, one shining light was Abdul Fatawu, and after his performance, he reacted to the result and sent a message to the Foxes fans.

Whilst it can be difficult to come away from Old Trafford with a result, especially a side, such as Leicester City, in the lower echelons of the Premier League table.

Fatawu, despite his positive showing, was clearly disappointed to not come away from the game with anything after he took to Instagram to send a message to fans.

On social media, he said: “Is so sad not to get something out of this game, we will get together as a team to go harder and make things better. Thanks to the travelling fans for their amazing support.”

After the heavy defeat, Leicester City now sit in 15th in the current Premier League table, just three points ahead of Crystal Palace, who take up the final relegation spot.

Next fixtures for Leicester City will make it difficult to ‘make things better’

After the international break for Leicester City, they will be hoping to bounce back from the recent rough patch, however the fixtures that they have upcoming will make that a stern test for Cooper’s side.

Straight after the break, they will host a clash with Chelsea, followed by games against Brentford and West Ham. After that, they will then face Brighton and Newcastle United.

It is without a doubt a difficult task for Cooper’s side to pull themselves out of their current ditch, especially with the difficulty of the fixtures, with only two of them arguably appearing to be winnable.

There will need to be a real improvement in performances to the one that was put on display against Man United, as it looks to be a real concern if Leicester are going to resign to defeat whenever coming up against a better side on paper.
