According to journalist Dean Jones of GiveMeSport, Leicester City star James Maddison could be one of the premium FPL replacements for Arsenal’s Gabriel Martinelli as the King Power Stadium outfit looks to continue its impressive run of form.
In the game, the attacking midfielder is worth £8.0 million ahead of Sunday’s trip to Manchester United.
Prior to the Premier League’s break for the World Cup, Maddison had been one of the league’s most in-form players, earning him a place in England manager Gareth Southgate’s squad for the trip to Qatar.
However, injury has hampered his promising progress, with the Daily Mail reporting that the 26-year-old has had a recent scan, and Leicester manager Brendan Rodgers stating that the £20m star is managing an issue with an injury that has limited his time in training.
Maddison was fit to captain the Foxes to a stunning 4-1 victory over Tottenham Hotspur last weekend, scoring and assisting on a fantastic day for the East Midlands outfit.
And Jones believes that the one-cap England international, along with Manchester City’s Riyad Mahrez, could be the ideal “premium” option to replace the struggling Martinelli in your FPL lineup.
