Leicester City have announced the details of a pre-season trip to France as part of their preparations for their return to the Premier League.
The Foxes will travel to France to take on Ligue 1 side RC Lens on Saturday, 10 August (kick-off 3pm).
The game will be the final pre-season fixture for Steve Cooper’s team and will take place in Stade Bollaert-Delelis.
Lens finished in seventh in last season’s Ligue 1 and competed in the 2023/24 Champions League.
Another friendly announcement for Leicester City supporters to put in the diary
The anticipation of another hopefully great Leicester campaign begins. To be honest, just staying in the Premier League would be an amazing achievement by the looks of things on Filbert Way. With LCFC’s preseason schedule now taking shape – a lot later than other clubs’ itineraries, it must be said – a sense of excitement will build within the Foxes fan base.
First of all, there is probably a behind-closed-doors practice meeting with Loughborough to kick things off in offseason 2024. Shrewsbury Town are also penciled in for a non-competitive fixture versus Leicester.
Now a third preseason contest is in place for the Leicestershire outfit. City will face Ligue 1 team RC Lens in the last of the summer friendlies this year. The game will take place in France on August 10. Following that, it is Tottenham Hotspur in the initial English top-flight clash of the season proper.
