Leicester City are still keen to bolster their side with options and one free agent has become available to the Foxes.
It’s been a difficult start to the season for Steve Cooper’s side who are yet to win in their opening three league games of the season.
A draw against Tottenham Hotspur was followed up by defeats to Fulham and Aston Villa, leaving Leicester City 15th in the Premier League.
Although the East Midlanders have scored in every game, there are concerns that Leicester may struggle for goals.
The Foxes rank 19th in the Premier League for shot-creating actions so far this season, however, one player could help to change their fortunes.
Leicester City interested in Yusuf Yazici
According to Jeunes Footeux, Leicester have made contact with former Lille and Turkey international Yusuf Yazici about a move to the King Power Stadium.
Yazici left Lille in the summer despite scoring 12 goals and registering four assists across 42 games in all competitions last season.
The 27-year-old is also of interest to AFC Bournemouth and Everton but as per the report, Leicester are in pole position and have already made contact with Yazici’s representatives.
Leicester City transfer target highly-rated by Mesut Ozil
Before joining Lille, Yazici was a regular for Turkish Super Lig. outfit Trabzonspor, playing over 100 times for the club.
His performances caught the eye of plenty, including Mesut Ozil, who waxed lyrical about the 27-year-old back in 2018.
Speaking to the Daily Mail, Ozil said: “Yusuf Yazici is an amazing No 10. We have a lot of similarities and I myself in him. His left foot, his position, his close passing and calmness on the ball.
“We will see Yusuf at a big European club in the near future.”
