Premier League new boys Leicester City have submitted their first offer to AC Milan for winger Alexis Saelemaekers and though no agreement has been reached yet, negotiations continue.
The 25-year-old proved his knack for scoring goals from the wing, scoring four last season for the Rossoneri and also helping set up three more for his team-mates.
Intending to equip his team with quality to cope with the Premier League pressure, manager Steve Cooper has identified Saelemaekers as a target.
Now, according to Italian broadcaster Sportitalia, an initial bid has been tabled by Leicester.
Though no agreement has been reached between the two clubs involved, negotiations still continue.
It now remains to be seen how much the Foxes have to offer to convince AC Milan to sell.
On AC Milan’s books since 2020, Saelemaekers has notched up 140 appearances for the Italian giants, making 24 goal contributions.
Saelemaekers spent last season on loan at Bologna and helped the side to secure a Champions League spot.
He had been due to move to Bologna permanently, but the deal fell through when Thiago Motta left to become Juventus coach.
