The Italian is up for Sky Bet Championship Manager of the Month after he led City to three straight victories against West Bromwich Albion (2-1), Southampton (5-0) and Preston North End (3-0) to clinch the title and secure promotion back to the Premier League.
He faces competition from Millwall’s Neil Harris, Sheffield Wednesday’s Danny Röhl and Hull City’s Liam Rosenior, with the winner announced on Friday.
