According to Nick Semeraro Leicester are in real the only candidate in the race for Argentinian U.20 internatonal, Matias Soule. Semeraro is an expert on Juventus relations and always well informed regarding matters going on at this football club.
Matias Soule is said to have agreed on a move to Leicester, as the versatile attacker can function in different positions up front and would be the ideal man for Steve Cooper, having Jamie Vardy also to his disposal, moving Soule out and in of playing wide, just behind or instead of the Leicester captain, who is not likely to be involved in every league game from start next season.
So how and why would it be possible for Leicester to complete a transfer for a fee close to €30million, being told that €21million is not enough. The reason is clear, agreeing a long term deal on five to seven years, to see the payment being downwritten on those terms. Chelsea is often seen doing this when splashing the cash on younger players. Soule, only 21 years of age, will most certainly be given a deal with different clauses attached so that Leicester are not trapped in a situation as we did see with Youri Tielemans, Kelechi Iheanacho and Dennis Praet, as the players left the club without getting any sort of compensation.

Leicester's first offer of £21M for Soule rejected.
Juventus asks for £30M. Leicester is ready for a new offer that can get closer to the request with bonuses.

The cashflow regarding football transfers have no impact on FFP or PSR, and the base of accounting will see this in the profit and loss over the period of the contract being written. There will not possibly be anything booked in the year of 2024 or 2025, as that goes into the balance sheet. The deprecations of the transfer might not start before the next financial year, 2025-26. The sale of Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall hits the profit and loss on the date the transfer is settled, showing £30million in sales, without having any depreciations to count. This could also be a fact regarding home grown players such as Luke Thomas, Kasey McAteer and Hamza Choudhury, all likely to be considered sold if the right offer comes in.
The talk of Callum O’Hare joining Leicester has so far not reached the reliable sources of transfer information, as nothing looks clear regarding the former Coventry midfielder. Latest seen on this topic, is a category 4 source, telling us Sheffield United, are the hottest candidate at this moment. With the signing of Bobby De Cordova-Reid and a possible inclusion of Matias Soule, cannot see a move for Callum O’Hare to Leicester.
The fact that Leicester are chasing Matias Soule, show their ambition to again be part of Premier League long term, rather than having a season in the same ocean as Burnley, Sheffield United and Luton experienced last term, having heavy problems with the level of football being played and not competitive over a full season in Premier League.
We believe a move for Matias Soule is very close and could be one that could step up hope for the coming season. This must also be seen in the view of Wilfred Ndidi signing a new 3 year deal, as well as having his Frosinone loan partner, Caleb Okoli, on board at the club allready.
Leicester have a major reputation in Europe as a place to develope and progress. That will see young players with a potential, ready to join the club, to either get earlier to the stage of regular first team football than staying on at places you would not get these chances.
TCF is of course waiting for the Abdul Fatawu transfer deal to be completed, and this move for Matias Soule is in no way troubling the move for the Ghana international. They can compete for the same position, but as described above, The Argentinian, can operate in other positions and give Steve Cooper more depth regarding his selection challenges.
