Caglar Soyuncu, a Leicester City centreback, has finalised a move to Atletico Madrid, where he will join on a free transfer.
Soyuncu’s five-year spell at Leicester is coming to an end, with Fabrizio Romano delivering the “Here we go” for the Turk’s move to the Spanish club.
Atleti have completed their deal early, bringing in the 26-year-old on a free transfer, with him expected to join Diego Simeone’s squad on July 1st.
Soyuncu has had a difficult season with Leicester, appearing in just seven games in all competitions due to a recurring knee injury, but he has been reinstated into the starting XI since Dean Smith’s arrival as manager, playing 90 minutes in all three of his first games in charge.
Soyuncu is approaching 200 appearances for Leicester and will depart the club after two seasons in the Europa League and winning the FA Cup and Community Shield.
