DONE DEAL: confirmed as Leicester wait on Crystal Palace decision to bring in Ice King few hours before season opener

Jordan Ayew is the player talked up at this moment to join Leicester. Several news channels are saying a bid of £4millon is in place as the club is waiting on an answer from Crystal Palace.

Sammy Szmodic, who made us all a bit irritated on the last game of the season, scoring two for Blackburn in that pointless venue, has joined Ipswich on a four year deal.

Earlier transfer talk regarding Wilfred Zaha and Adam Hlozek, looks to have ended in just what it was, talk. Tax issues and problematic affairs is said to have stopped the Zaha move, while Hlozek was keen to stay in Bundesliga and is considering Hoffenheim at this point.

Latest rumours are again surrounding goalkeepers and looks to have switched from Crystal Palace shot stopper Sam Johnstone to Antwerpen’s Jean Butez. Both are quality goalkeepers and possibly being seen as first team alernatives and could see a Chelsea move for Mads Hermansen potentially bringing in a major gain.

The move for Jordan Ayew, if it happens, could see him in the new Leicester third kit this season, said to be made with an inspiration back to the forgotten story of Leicester City Ice Kings. He will not be unfamilier in playing in all white as his national team Ghana is often also seen all white.

Steve Cooper had his first pre-match press conference today, having no news on new transfers, only confirming that he lack bodies in certain positions, with the top target position obviously a talking point.

Luke Thomas is back in training, Patson Daka, Jamie Vardy and Conor Coady are all out, not really having any dates on their return, but obviously having a shorter wait for Vardy and Coady, than Daka, who looks likely to miss most of this season.
