Leicester City have been credited with an interest in this 20-year-old Guinea-Bissau international
Leicester City have scouted FC Midtjylland striker Franculino Djú, according to reports in Denmark.
Danish website Bold claim City have ‘taken a closer look’ at the 20-year-old who is viewed by his club as a saleable asset
The report says the Foxes have watched several Midtjylland matches, including as recently as Sunday when Franculino played 45 minutes of the 1-0 win over Lyngby.
While other clubs are said to be interested, with Crystal Palace and Besiktas also mentioned as keen on the Guinea-Bissau striker.
It is claimed that while Franculino has recently signed a new contract, FCM would like to make a ‘huge profit’ on a player who joined them from the Benfica youth set-up in the summer of 2023.
He has scored ten times in 26 games so far this season, including three in the Champions League and has also played three times for his country in their Africa Cup of Nations campaign.
His current contract is said to run until 2029 and he has previously been linked with Bayer Leverkusen and Torino.
As things stand City have Jamie Vardy coming to the end of his existing deal, Patson Daka who has struggled to convert chances into goals and loan man Odsonne Edouard who has not featured at all.
