Good news as Leicester City fans celebrate as star player return fully after a bad injury

Leicester City has made a new signing. Conor Coady walked off the field during preseason with an injury, which could prevent him from making his competitive debut.

Has the English center-back previously been injured? Yes, but he hasn’t missed a competitive match due to injury in a long time. Coady has already suffered an injury in his three weeks with the King Power club, which may force him to miss Coventry City’s EFL Championship start.

The curse extends from the Premier League to the Championship, and some of the Blue Army’s more superstitious members are beginning to doubt their own destiny. Enzo Maresca, the Foxes’ manager, has remarked on the situation:

“Unfortunately it is not good, we need to wait… They are scanning, we will see in the next few hours. He is one of our new players and has been involved with the process since day one”

So, the English centre-back is injured probably for the rest of pre-season, and could possibly be a contentious choice for the Coventry City fixture. Coady has already shown himself to be the Jonny Evans replacement Leicester needed: composed, calm passing, and quality tackling. To lose the player for the duration of preseason is already annoying, as it hampers the integration of the player. That was what also harmed the chances of Jannie Vestergaard at City.

Enzo Maresca intends to employ the new addition as a central defender, surrounded by a handful of other players and potentially Callum Doyle. The Italian manager will be devastated to have lost a fresh signing to the Leicester City curse. In any case, the hope is that the CB will be ready for the first game, but he will miss the rest of preseason nonetheless.

The Foxes have a few other signings at the moment, including my personal favorite, Mads Hermansen, and thankfully none have been injured. Although I could have just jinxed it. Otherwise, all of the other players are totally fit and participating in preseason games and training.
