Leicester City beat Crystal Palace as club make several visits to watch striker after Crystal Palace also send scouts for player

Leicester City and Crystal Palace are keeping a close eye on FC Midtjylland striker Franculino Djú.

This claim comes from Danish outlet Bold, who state the Guinea-Bissau player is someone that Midtjylland would ideally want to earn a profit from, even if he has signed a new deal very recently.

Clubs are taking notice of the 20-year-old, who has scored five times in the Superliga and four goals in European competitions this season.

Leicester City and Crystal Palace have scouted the player in recent weeks and officials have been present to take a ‘closer look’ at the talent.

It is Leicester City who seem more keen and have made several trips to Denmark to watch the starlet, having also scouted Franculino in the league game against Lyngby at the weekend.

As well as Crystal Palace, Besiktas have also been mentioned as a potential destination for the African in recent weeks. Previously, Bayer Leverkusen and Torino have been interested in him.

Since joining Midtjylland in the summer of 2023, Franculino has scored 27 goals and has 11 assists in all competitions for the Danish club.
