Leicester City finally beat Ac Milan in battle to sign young electrifying attacking midfielder

mahmoud dahoud has made 137 appearances for Dortmund since joining from fellow Bundesliga club Borussia Dortmund in 2017. He has five goals and 16 assists to his name.

However, he has been hampered by injury this season, and as a result, he has only appeared in six games.

Dahoud’s contract with Dortmund expires at the end of the current season, and the club’s Sporting Director Sebastian Kehl recently confirmed that he will not be offered a new contract.

“Last week, I had a very honest conversation with Mo,” Kehl told BILD. “I informed him that we will not be renewing his contract in the summer.

“Mo has been with us for six years now, he is a very good footballer, and I really have a very high opinion of him, both in sporting terms and as a person. Nonetheless, we have decided to proceed.”

Dortmund’s decision has sparked interest from a number of clubs, who will now have the opportunity to sign Dahoud on a free transfer this summer.

Leicester is one of the clubs interested in Dahoud, according to the German publication Ruhr Nachrichten.

With Youri Tielemans’ future at the King Power Stadium uncertain, Leicester City may need to bolster their midfield in the summer.

The Belgium international’s contract expires at the end of the season, and there is no indication that a new deal is imminent.

As a result, Tielemans, along with Caglar Soyuncu and Ayoze Perez, is expected to leave the club on a free transfer at the end of the season.

Leicester are expected to face competition from AC Milan and Napoli if they decide to pursue Dahoud.

Having only played for Dortmund and Monchengladbach, Dahoud could be set to join a club outside Germany for the first time in his career.
