Leicester City leading the race to sign three times UEFA Champions League winners

Gianluigi Donnarumma will start for Paris Saint-Germain, according to manager Christophe Galtier. As a result, Keylor Navas was banished to the bench, resulting in limited starts throughout the 2022-23 football season.

With the January transfer window still open, the capital club may attempt to unload the three-time UEFA Champions League winner. Leicester City is the most recent club to enter the race.

According to BBC Radio Solent Sport, The Foxes are now interested in an experienced goalkeeper. Leicester City allowed Kasper Schmeichel, 36, to leave for OGC Nice, and they may come to regret his replacement.

Danny Ward has started 19 matches for Brendan Rodgers and the 29-year-old has conceded 33 goals against and is averaging 1.74 goals against per 90. Additionally, Ward has a 64 save percentage in Premier League competition.

Meanwhile, Navas, whether it’s La Liga or Ligue 1, has had a save percentage of 72 percent or higher since 2013. As a result, The Foxes could pluck the Costa Rica international in an attempt to remain out of the relegation zone.

Leicester City is two points above the drop zone. They aren’t the only Premier League clubs interested in Navas. According to a recent rumor, Bournemouth and Nottingham Forest are interested in the shot-stopper.
