4-3-3: Leicester City line-up v Bristol City as Jamie Vardy returns amid two key changes made

How Leicester City could set up at Ashton Gate, with Jamie Vardy back in the frame for the Championship run-in, and with James Justin likely in for the suspended Callum Doyle

Jamie Vardy could be called back into the Leicester City starting line-up to take on Bristol City on Friday lunchtime after being declared 100 per cent fit.

Vardy missed out when City lost to Chelsea in their FA Cup quarter-final before the international break, but has recovered over the past two weeks. He may now lead the line at Ashton Gate, replacing Patson Daka, especially with the Zambian returning late from international duty.

One change City will have to make from the loss at Stamford Bridge is at left-back. Callum Doyle received a red card in the game and will serve a one-match suspension on Friday. James Justin is expected to replace him.

Any further changes will likely be dependent on how quickly players have returned and recovered from international duty. Wout Faes and Jannik Vestergaard represented Belgium and Denmark respectively, potentially meaning Conor Coady will be given a run-out.

Albeit, while Wilfred Ndidi and Abdul Fatawu were in Africa playing for Nigeria and Ghana as late as Tuesday, the lack of options in their positions mean they are likely to keep their places. Those who stayed at Seagrave, like Harry Winks, Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, and Stephy Mavididi should be full of energy and ready for the run-in.

Predicted City line-up (4-3-3): Hermansen; Choudhury, Faes, Vestergaard, Justin; Winks, Ndidi, Dewsbury-Hall; Fatawu, Vardy, Mavididi. Subs from: Stolarczyk, Ricardo, Coady, Souttar, Praet, Yunus, Alves, Albrighton, Marcal, Daka, Iheanacho.
