How Leicester City line up at the King Power Stadium as Enzo Maresca rotates, also bringing in Jannik Vestergaard, Hamza Choudhury, Cesare Casasdei, Yunus Akgun, and Kelechi Iheanacho
Harry Souttar has been handed his first league appearance of the season against his old club Stoke.
The Australian international centre-back is one of six players to come into the Leicester City line-up as Enzo Maresca chooses to rotate, the clash with the Potters the third game in seven days for the club. Also brought in are Jannik Vestergaard, Hamza Choudhury, Cesare Casadei, Yunus Akgun, and Kelechi Iheanacho.
Souttar has previously only played in the cup at Liverpool but now comes in for Wout Faes as Maresca changes his whole back three. Vestergaard, available again after suspension, comes in for Conor Coady, while Choudhury will play in an unorthodox role on the left of the back three with James Justin afforded a rest.
Casadei comes in for Wilfred Ndidi in the midfield, joining Harry Winks and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall in the centre of the park. There’s a change out wide too, with Yunus Akgun replacing Stephy Mavididi. That will likely see Abdul Fatawu switch to the left wing, with Yunus on the right.
Then, up front, Iheanacho comes in for Vardy, who would have been starting his third game in seven days had he been selected. With Vestergaard back in the squad, Wanya Marcal is the man to make way.
City (4-3-3): Hermansen; Ricardo, Souttar, Vestergaard, Choudhury; Winks, Casadei, Dewsbury-Hall; Yunus, Iheanacho, Fatawu. Subs: Stolarczyk, Coady, Faes, Justin, Ndidi, Albrighton, Mavididi, Vardy, Daka.
