According to journalist Alan Nixon, Leicester City appear to have given up on their efforts to appoint Graham Potter as their new manager.
Chelsea sacked Potter earlier this year after a disappointing season for the big-spending Blues.
His position in the game remains high, and he is being considered by a number of clubs seeking for a new manager.
Leicester had been aiming to entice Potter to return to the King Power Stadium and lead the club back to the Premier League.
They were willing to give him a substantial contract and support him as he rebuilt the team.
Potter, however, does not appear to be interested in taking over at Leicester, since the club appears to have other candidates were considered.
Leicester City will want to make a decision soon, as the summer transfer window opens.
A number of players are set to leave the King Power Stadium, and Leicester must assemble a club capable of competing in the Championship.
