Aston Villa, Leicester City, Newcastle United, and Wolves are all interested in Sheffield United centre-back Anel Ahmedhodzic this summer, according to Football League World sources.
The Blades signed the 24-year-old from Malmo in the summer, and he has made an impression in his first season in England.
Ahmedhodzic has been a regular in Paul Heckingbottom’s promotion-chasing side, displaying offensive and defensive abilities with five goals and two assists.
However, it appears that his time at Bramall Lane may be limited, as sources have exclusively informed FLW that the Blades face a battle to keep him this summer.
FLW understands that even promotion may not be enough to keep him at United, with Villa, Leicester, Newcastle, and Wolves all interested.
According to Transfermarkt, Malmo will be entitled to 13% of any fee United receives for Ahmedhodzic in excess of the €4.5 million (£3.9m) paid for him.
Ahmedhodzic signed a four-year contract with the Blades in the summer, meaning he is under contract until the end of the 2025/26 season.
As a result, the Blades should be able to negotiate a substantial fee.
