Leicester City release list of six potential new signings this month

Leicester City have made a strong start to the summer transfer window under new manager Enzo Maresca, and as we enter the last month of the year, it appears like the Foxes could make a few more excellent acquisitions.

So far this summer, Leicester City have signed permanent signings for Harry Winks, Conor Coady, and Mads Hermansen, while Callum Doyle has arrived on loan from Manchester City.

Those additions have coincided with the departures of James Maddison and Harvey Barnes, and it appears that there may be a few more high-priced player sales this summer, with names like Kelechi Iheanacho and Timothy Castagne in high demand.

There’s been some names who’ve been linked with Leicester but who have since sealed moves elsewhere, including Shea Charles who’s signed for Southampton, Cho Gue-sung who’s joined FC Midtjylland, Milos Kerkez who’s signed for Bournemouth, and Burnley’s James Trafford, and whilst it’s a lengthy list, there’s still some available players on the Foxes’ radar.

It looks like Maresca is desperate to bolster his attacking and wing departments this summer given the exits of names like Maddison and Barnes, and two potential additions could be Stephy Mavididi and Amad Diallo.

Montpellier midfielder Mavididi was connected earlier this month, and Fabrizio Romano recently reported that a deal for the ex-Arsenal youth was very close, however an official signing has yet to be announced. Meanwhile, Diallo has a growing number of Championship suitors, but Manchester United have yet to make a decision on his future as Leicester joined the race for his signature earlier this month.

Another potential attacking acquisition may be Manchester City’s Cole Palmer (Alan Nixon on Patreon), who is expected to leave on loan this summer.

Lillestrom striker Akor Adams has also been linked with a move to the King Power recently. The Nigerian is said to be of interest to the likes of Leicester, Middlesbrough, and Watford, having made a strong start to the Norwegian campaign with 15 goals in 15 league games so far.

Middlesbrough’s Paddy McNair was rumored to be a surprise target for Leicester City earlier this month, but nothing has been heard of that move since, and more recent rumors say that the Foxes are close to signing released Chelsea youngster Silko Thomas.

Leicester have spent well this summer, and while it appears that they may have a couple more big signings in their arsenal, a few loan signings now appear likely, and if Maresca can bring in the likes of Diallo or Palmer, the Italian will have a very strong-looking side ahead of next season.
