According to Foot Mercato, the Serie A club is’very interested’ in the 24-year-old, with manager Rudi Garcia being ‘passionate about’ the youngster.
It’s now time for the Italian press to confirm this interest, with Il Mattino running a report on the Leicester City midfielder.
According to reports, Soumaré ‘may leave’ the Foxes following their relegation, with the club presently wanting €20 million for his transfer.
Il Mattino adds that Leicester City ‘don’t deny’ the possibility of a loan with a buying option, and that may be good news for Napoli or whoever get interested.
The story says the Serie A champions ‘seem to like’ Soumaré, as his signing was ‘requested’ by Rudi Garcia.
For the time being, it’s unknown whether Napoli would agree to a loan deal or match Leicester City’s asking for a permanent transfer.
Soumaré joined the Foxes for €20 million from Lille a few years ago and has made 59 appearances for the club. He is under contract with them until 2026.
