Prince Adegoke, a 2019 Golden Eaglets invitee, is preparing to leave English Premier League club Chelsea.
The talented goalkeeper has been informed that he will not be getting a new contract when his current agreement with the club expires on June 30, 2023.
Adegoke has been with the Stamford Bridge club since U13 level, rising through the ranks before signing his first professional contract in November 2020, when he turns seventeen.
He began the season on loan with National League South side Welling United, only to be recalled in August due to a lack of first-team opportunities.
Adegoke trained with Stoke City in October, but his trial with the Potters’ development squad was cut short due to fitness concerns.
Nottingham Forest wanted to take him on trial the following month, but it didn’t work out because the goalkeeper was out of shape.
Leicester City have expressed an interest in signing Adegoke and have invited him to train with their U21 squad beginning next week in preparation for a possible transfer.
Nigeria-eligible goalkeepers Kelechi Chibueze and Chituru Odunze were Chelsea schoolboys before signing for The Foxes, and Adegoke could follow in their footsteps if he impresses the coaching staff during his trial period.
Nice post. I learn something new and challenging on blogs I stumbleupon every day. Its always useful to read through content from other writers and use a little something from their websites.
