Leicester City have been ranked amongst the top 100 most expensive teams, and its position is quite surprising.

Throughout Leicester City’s summer transfer window as they geared up for the 2024/25 Premier League season, there was a sense of caution surrounding their transfer dealings amid concerns with PSR.

The Foxes had sold Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall to Chelsea for £30million, where he went to play under Enzo Maresca.

The money brought in from the major sale of their key midfielder wasn’t quite utilised at the soonest possible point, however the latter stages of the transfer window finally saw Leicester City put the wheels in motion in spending to prepare for the Premier League, especially with the blockbuster signing of Bilal El Khannouss.

Following the summer transfer window, a report of the top 100 expensive squads in the world have been published, with The Foxes coming out surprisingly high.

Following the promotion for Leicester City at the first time of asking from the Championship, they have had to make several signings, like their fellow promoted sides Ipswich Town and Southampton.
