According to Firenzeviola.it, Fiorentina’s Igor has caught the attention of Leicester City and Fulham.
The centre-back has been a fixture for the Serie A team this season, appearing in 37 games. However, he was an unused replacement in his team’s 2-1 loss to FC Basel in the UEFA Conference League semi-final.
His ‘not-so-certain situation’ at Fiorentina has ‘attracted interest’ from Leicester, Fulham, and other clubs.
The Foxes and Marco Silva’s side are said to be’making concrete moves’ to sign the 25-year-old in the summer. Aside from the Premier League duo, at least two Ligue 1 clubs and one Spanish team are interested in the defender.
Igor’s contract runs until 2024, with a one-year extension option. He has attracted interest from a number of clubs, which ‘may force’ the player to reject the Serie A club’s extension offer and’seek a fortune abroad’.
Fiorentina intends to approach the Brazilian’s entourage in the summer to try to reach an agreement on a contract extension, but their intentions may change if the defender “asks to be sold.” Much will be determined by Igor’s desire and the offers he receives this summer.
It remains to be seen whether Leicester, Fulham, or another team will turn their curiosity into an offer.
