It’s no wonder that Smith dislikes Mondays after Fulham beat them 5-3 on the coronation bank holiday. When the Premier League fixture generator delivered up the visit of Liverpool on the same day of the week, it wasn’t listening to his jukebox selection.

The Reds took advantage of some sloppy Fox defence to win 3-0, with Trent Alexander-Arnold’s free kick adding to Curtis Jones’ first-half double.

With only two games remaining in the season, Leicester find themselves in a four-way battle to avoid the final two relegation spots ahead of Championship-bound Southampton.
