Liverpool great legend is considered to become the new Leicester manager

A Liverpool great is apparently being considered as the new manager of Leicester City.

Would Steven Gerrard be a good candidate to lead Leicester City back to the promised land of the Premier League? Both the owners of Leicester City and Leeds United believe Gerrard  is the guy to lead their teams out of the Championship.

Gerrard, according to reports, ‘has a high chance’ of joining LCFC. Sam Allardyce, on the other hand, recently left Leeds. What are your thoughts on the Reds Icon potentially joining City?

Steven Gerrard’s former team is interested in signing two Leicester City players.

Gerrard left the Villans last year – which seems like a lifetime ago – and has been unemployed since. He formerly managed the Reds’ Under-18 and U19 sides; prior to joining Villa, he was at Glasgow Rangers in the Scottish Premiership.

Gerrard left the Villans last year – which seems like a lifetime ago – and has been unemployed since. He formerly managed the Reds’ Under-18 and U19 sides; prior to joining Villa, he was at Glasgow Rangers in the Scottish Premiership.

In addition, the Birmingham club is rumored to be interested in signing two exceptional Foxes: Youri Tielemans and Harvey Barnes. Maybe Tielemans was a great Fox once, but I believe he’s been below par for the past two years in comparison to his previous high performance level. You know what I think of Barnes: he’s devastatingly dangerous on his day, but he’s also wasteful and generally weak on the ball.

Nonetheless, Unai Emery is thought to be interested in Leicester’s assets in order to bolster his midfield and wing departments. Obviously, Tielemans is available for free, which irritates certain members of the Blue Army. I’m especially disappointed that he was let go for nothing after two very poor seasons for the Belgian. Barnes is worth slightly more to a mid-table/European competition-seeking club than £30 million.

Other clubs are keeping an eye on the Leicestershire two, but AVFC are hoping to make a splash with the Spaniard, who is backed by ownership. However, the article seems unsure whether Barnes will truly leave LCFC; I can almost guarantee you that the wideman will leave. Prior to the weekend, one well-known bookmaker had Leicester’s Midlands rivals as favourites to defeat the two Foxes.
