Leicester City reversed into the Fourth Round of the Carabao Cup with a prosaic performance and penalty shoot-out victory over League Two Walsall.
The Foxes, who are yet to win in the Premier League this season, failed to put Mat Sadler’s Saddlers away in normal time, instead they needed three saves from Danny Ward to win a spot-kick that keeps them on track for what would be a fourth League Cup title.
Speedway90: Well done Danny Ward you have saved the Manager and the Clubs bacon. What an embarrassing display tonight.
Roofman99: Yeah we’re through but nothing to do with Cooper.
driffox: Abysmal
brush2: Very very poor. Not sure how we can improve with the system we are playing . We have no flair whatsoever
Paddyedr: Shocking. Our manager only knows how to set up defensively so in a game where we have the upper hand (supposedly), he is lost. As are the players. Ominous.
