Leicester City are once again facing off with Manchester United in a Premier League meeting this weekend.
Leicester City head into the game in desperate need of a win, if for nothing more than to ease pressure on Steve Cooper.
The Foxes are 15th in the Premier League table going into the weekend but their recent form has been dire.
Leicester lost 3-1 to Cooper’s old club, Nottingham Forest, before drawing 1-1 with relegation-bound Ipswich Town in their last Premier League fixture.
Elsewhere, Manchester United smashed Leicester 5-2 in the Carabao Cup last week.
It was a nightmare showing from the Foxes and Cooper could face Leicester fan backlash if he now opts to start one player on Sunday who was dismal in that match.
Paul Merson makes Manchester United vs Leicester City score prediction
Despite hammering Leicester in their last meeting, Manchester United’s league form has not been great this season.
The Red Devils have only secured three wins from 10 and sit just two points above Leicester in the table.
However, when making his prediction for Sportskeeda, Paul Merson once again backed Man Utd to come out on top in this game.
The former Arsenal and Middlesbrough ace claimed it ‘would’ve been catastrophic’ if Leicester lost to Ipswich last time out and praised them for earning a draw before predicting a 3-1 United win on Sunday.
He said: “Leicester did well to rescue a point against Ipswich last weekend. A defeat in that game would’ve been catastrophic for them.
“Jamie Vardy should remain fit throughout the season, if they are to avoid relegation. I think there’s only one winner in this game though, and it’s not Leicester.”
What Paul Merson said about Manchester United ahead of Leicester City
Merson also gave a detailed analysis of Manchester United when making his score prediction ahead of Leicester.
While he predicted them to beat the Foxes, though, Merson did question if United have players good enough to match what their incoming manager wants.
He said: “Don’t get me wrong, I like Amorim and what he’s done in Portugal deserves a lot of credit. But this looks like a really tough challenge for him and he won’t become an overnight success at Old Trafford because he needs the players for his preferred system.
“I also wanted to speak about Joshua Zirkzee. I don’t know where he plays, what his identity is as a player. If you’re always behind the eight ball at Manchester United, it’s tough for you as a player.
“Mason Mount suffers from it, so did Anderson and many other players back in the day.”
