Everton will be going into this weekend knowing just how important three points from their game against will be.
The pressure is rising on Merseyside with Everton having now been knocked out of the Carabao Cup following their defeat midweek against Southampton.
Sean Dyche has been backed by Everton despite the dreadful start to the new campaign but patience may well be tested if this weekend provides another loss.
A win on the road to the Foxes could see Everton’s season kickstarted but anything less than a win will leave serious questions needing to be answered.
Ahead of the game, Paul Merson has now shared his prediction with both sides looking for their first win in the league this season.
Paul Merson shares his Leicester City vs Everton prediction
Although last weekend saw Everton allow another two-goal lead to slip, there were some positives to take from the game.
However, having also taken the lead during the week against Southampton and ended up losing on penalties, there is a lot to work on.
But at this point, fans will likely take three points no matter how they come with the Toffees sat rock bottom of the table.
Speaking to Sportskeeda, the Sky Sports pundit has now predicted Everton to get up and running this weekend with their first win of the season.
“Everton are also probably the only team in the bottom half of the table with an X-factor in them,” he said.
“No matter how much they struggle, they are always capable of pulling off an incredible result out of nowhere. They were unlucky against Villa in my opinion.
“I just don’t think Leicester will be able to prevent Everton from securing a win here. There’s no two ways about it in my opinion, only one winner in this clash.”
Everton need to capitalise on Leicester City’s defence
The Toffees have not been able to boast a solid backline this season with Everton having conceded more goals (13) than any other side in the league.
However, Steve Cooper’s side have not exactly been tight at the back themselves with no clean sheets to their name this season.
The Foxes have conceded twice in each of their last three games in the league and certainly look vulnerable.
Saturday is going to offer a huge opportunity for the Toffees to get off the mark but the mood around Goodison is not going to be positive if they come away with nothing.
