Shocking as Fenerbahce have launched an €8m bid to sign Leicester City electrifying midfielder

Fenerbahce make a €8 million bid for a Leicester City player who wants to go.

Ndidi, who is 26 years old, has been at Leicester City since 2017. He joined from Genk and has made 238 appearances with the Foxes, scoring 11 goals in that time.

He’s been an important player for the club, but after five-and-a-half years and Leicester’s relegation from the Premier League, it appears Ndidi may be on the move.

According to an emerging rumor from Turkish publication Yeni Safak (via Sport Witness), the player is eager to go ahead of his contract expiration in 2024, and Turkish heavyweights Fenerbahce are interested in signing him.

According to the same report, Fenerbahce has made a €8 million proposal for the player, plus bonuses.

So far this summer, Leicester City has sold James Maddison, Harvey Barnes, and George Hirst for transfer payments totaling more than £80 million.

Another way out?

Ndidi was named to the starting XI against Coventry City on Sunday, indicating that Enzo Maresca has a purpose for him this season.

However, considering his contract status and the obvious desire of Ndidi to depart, a sale this summer may be beneficial for all sides.

Leicester paid a reported cost of £17 million for Ndidi in 2017, and while the player has served them well, they would no doubt want to recoup the majority of that initial fee.

And, given that the Foxes have already claimed £40 million for Maddison, who is also in the final year of his contract, it remains to be seen what they value Ndidi at – it may be far higher than the rumored €8 million.
