The two highest and lowest-rated Leicester City players in the Premier League this season

Leicester City fans are probably not overly pleased with how their season has gone so far.

The Foxes spent just one season down in the Championship, dominating the division under Enzo Maresca to secure a swift return to the Premier League.

But the Italian has now left for Chelsea along with star player Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall and Steve Cooper has been brought in as a replacement.

The former Nottingham Forest boss got off to a solid start at the King Power Stadium when Leicester City drew 1-1 with Tottenham Hotspur in their opening fixture of 2024/25.

However, the Midlands outfit’s form has taken a bit of a nosedive in their last two fixtures.

Leicester lost 2-1 to Fulham before falling to defeat at the hands of Unai Emery’s Aston Villa by the same scoreline.

And while they are yet to pick up a league win this term, the newly-promoted outfit have still had a few players impress.

Now, with the international break now upon us, we take a look at Leicester’s two highest-rated, and two lowest-rated players in the Premier League so far this season (who’ve played two games or more).

Mads Hermansen and Abdul Fatawu Issahaku are the highest-rated Leicester City players

While these selections do deserve to be high on the list, fans are probably no doubt surprised that Facundo Buonanotte has not reached the top two.

The Argentine has been a revelation since his loan move from Brighton and Hove Albion but he has only been given a 7.1 rating by Sofascore.

Mads Hermansen, meanwhile, is the highest-rated Foxes star this term with a very impressive 7.5 rating.

Leicester are yet to keep a clean sheet in the Premier League but Hermansen has averaged four saves per match and prevented 1.15 goals per game.

Just behind the goalkeeper in the rankings is forward Abdul Fatawu Issahaku, who returned to the King Power on a permanent basis over the summer.

Fatawu has featured in all three of Leicester’s Premier League games this campaign, assisting one, creating one big chance, and putting in some solid shifts defensively as well. Sofascore have given the 20-year-old a 7.33 rating for his displays in 2024/25.

Bobby Decordova-Reid and Stephy Mavididi are the lowest-rated Leicester City players this season

While one summer addition has worked out very well, the move for Bobby Decordova-Reid is yet to bear fruit.

The Foxes signed Decordova-Reid on a free transfer for Fuham, in what looked a decent deal at the time given the midfielder’s ability to play all across the forward line.

However, despite starting in two of Leicester’s three Premier League matches this season, he is the lowest-rated player on Sofascore by some distance (6.33).

Decordova-Reid is yet to score, assist or create any big chances for Leicester in 2024/25.

Ahead of the former Cardiff City man as the second-lowest-rated player for Cooper’s side is Stephy Mavididi.

The 26-year-old is yet to start a league match, which could impact his rating (6.67), but he has come off the bench in all three Premier League ties with little impact made.
