Liverpool fast monitoring world-class speed king as the 24-year-old PSG star may leave club

Liverpool is monitoring PSG superstar Kylian Mbappe in the transfer market.

Reports linking Liverpool to French superstar Kylian Mbappe have surfaced once more. The Reds are keeping an eye on the ‘long-term’ target’s situation at PSG, according to Football Insider (via Liverpool Echo).

Signing a player of Mbappe’s caliber, however, may not be the best move for Liverpool right now. Having said that, even if it isn’t the “best move” for the Reds, that doesn’t mean we can’t afford him.

The 24-year-old is undeniably one of the world’s most sought-after footballers. His exceptional goal-scoring ability and creative play make him a valuable asset to any team. However, with two years remaining on his contract at PSG (Transfermarkt), the financial implications of such a move would be enormous, which Liverpool will need to carefully consider.

Even if we have the funds to complete this transaction, the real question is whether we need him. With Mohamed Salah, Darwin Nunez, and Cody Gakpo leading the line, Liverpool’s attack is already lethal.

And this is not even mentioning the other four options in attack we have. The Reds certainly do not need another forward at this stage, let alone one as expensive as Mbappe.

Instead, Liverpool should concentrate on improving depth in other areas of the team. Furthermore, the impact of Mbappe’s signing on the team’s wage structure must be considered.

Liverpool have a reasonable wage budget, and adding a high-earning player like Mbappe could upset the team’s equilibrium. The financial implications of such a move would also make future signings difficult for Liverpool, as we also have potential transfer-record breaker Jude Bellingham on our radar.
