DONE DEAL: leeds united have added new man in the sqaud  and must be register to be available for shieffield wednesday clash

Leeds United face a race against time to clinch the signing of Largie Ramazani if they want to include the winger in their squad that travels across Yorkshire to face Sheffield Wednesday on Friday night.

Reports emerged on Wednesday evening that Leeds had agreed a deal to sign 23-year-old Ramazani from relegated Almeria, after the Belgium U21 star had entered the final 12 months of his Almeria deal.

Ramazani became a player in-demand this summer not only because of his contractual situation with Almeria and that Almeria had been relegated, but because he had a hand in eight La Liga goals last term.

Now, Leeds have agreed a £10m deal to sign Ramazani. The transfer, according to Fabrizio Romano, will also include add-ons and a 15% sell-on clause as Leeds finally replace the loss of Crysencio SummervilleLargie Ramazani of UD Almeria looks on prior to the LaLiga EA Sports match between Real Sociedad and UD Almeria at Reale Arena on April 14, 2024 in...

Leeds have until midday on Thursday to register Ramazani

Leeds are in action for the fourth time this season competitively on Friday night, when the Whites go to Danny Rohl’s Sheffield Wednesday. The Whites are so far winless after two draws, the latest at West Brom.

An opening-day thriller against Portsmouth saw Leeds rescue a point to draw 3-3 before a battering in the Carabao Cup to Luke Ayling’s Middlesbrough. It means Leeds will be desperate to win on Friday night.

The Yorkshire Evening Post report that if Leeds want Ramazani in the squad travelling to Hillsborough, then they must register the signing of Ramazani by midday on Thursday in order to include the winger.

Race against time even if Ramazani unlikely to start for Leeds

The chances are that midday will come too soon for Leeds and Ramazani but with Daniel Farke enjoying a lack of injuries so far among his players, albeit Max Wober is a doubt, the German boss has many options.

Wilfried Gnonto and Dan James are the obvious two choices to play out wide as things stand and the new addition will have to take his chance when it comes to get past the Italy and Wales internationals to start.

But even if Leeds do get Ramazani’s move done in time and register him, the likelihood is that Ramazani would still be lucky to make the bench and is more likely to be given a watching brief from the sidelines.
