Jamie Carragher was full of praise for one Everton player during the Toffees’ 1-1 draw with Luton Town on Friday evening.
Sean Dyche’s men secured their Premier League status last Saturday against Brentford and took the lead through a 24th-minute Dominic Calvert-Lewin penalty.
However, Rob Edwards’ side quickly struck back thanks to a fine piece of centre-forward play from Elijah Adebayo.
Despite piling the pressure on in the second period, the hosts had to make do with a point, doing their survival aspirations no favours.

Despite his obvious Liverpool links, Carragher is more than happy to heap praise on the Toffees on the odd occasion; after all, a large part of his family leans toward the blue side of Merseyside.
Everton’s recent performances, for the most part, have deserved praise, and the former Liverpool defender picked out an impressive moment from Dwight McNeil during the first half.
After the £20million winger delivered a teasing cross in the first half, Carragher told Sky Sports: “It’s really difficult for the defender, but the goalkeeper reacts well. It’s a brilliant ball in from McNeil.”
