McGuinness and Walsh in line for debuts while Andersen and Burke fit to travel
The Hatters’ squad is set to be the strongest of the season so far when Rob Edwards takes his team to Preston North End on Saturday.
The Town manager will have new signings Liam Walsh and Mark McGuinness in contention for their debuts for the trip to Deepdale after joining the club this week.
Edwards also confirmed at his pre-match press conference on Friday afternoon that defenders Reece Burke and Mads Andersen are also available and will travel north for our third fixture of the campaign.
“If they do not feature this weekend then we’ll look to get them minutes at QPR on Tuesday night,” said the boss.
The manager also gave good news regarding midfielder Marvelous Nakamba, with the Zimbabwean international also in line for potentially featuring in next week’s Carabao Cup visit to Loftus Road.
For the game against North End, the Town will without suspended goalkeeper Thomas Kaminski following his red card at Portsmouth last weekend. James Shea is expected to start in goal.
New loan signing Tom Krauß is definitely unavailable with an ankle sprain, sustained while training with Mainz, and is not expected to return until after the international break.
