Rob Edwards named defenders Reece Burke and Mads Andersen on the bench for the first time this season as Luton Town were defeated by Preston North End at the weekend. The Hatters boss promised those players minutes against QPR if they didn’t face Preston.
Last week, Edwards said: “If they do not feature this weekend then we’ll look to get them minutes at QPR on Tuesday night.”
Midfielder Marvelous Nakamba is facing a race against time to be fit in time for the midweek cup action but could make his first Luton appearance of the season in London.
Goalkeeper Thomas Kaminski was sent off against Portsmouth earlier this month and missed the visit to Preston but is now eligible to face QPR with his ban served. New loan signing Tom Krauß isn’t expected to return from an ankle injury until after the break with Daiki Hashioka, Jacob Brown and Tom Lockyer also sidelined.
