Brendan Rodgers, manager of Leicester City, has praised Super Eagles forward Kelechi Iheanacho ahead of their match against Manchester United.
Since the absence of their star striker, Jamie Vardy, who suffered a gluteal strain during training, the Nigerian international has provided Rodgers’ team with an outstanding performance.
Since replacing the English international in Rodgers’ starting eleven, the 26-year-old has produced three goals and three assists in his team’s previous three matches.

The Irish manager praised the Nigerian star in his post-match press conference before their trip to Old Trafford on Sunday.
“He’s surrounded by the right players. He’s in his prime. Every day in training, I see it. He’s a top-tier striker when his touch is good,” he said.
The Red Devils are now in top form and have turned the “Theatre of Dreams” into a stronghold, winning 8 times and drawing twice at home.

Despite this, the former Liverpool manager expressed his joy for the player and stated that the Nigerian poses a threat to their rival.
“He’s worked extremely hard in the game, and his hold-up play has been excellent. He appeared to be a threat. I’m overjoyed for him. It’s all about consistency now,” he added.
The Foxes have won three, lost one, and drawn one of their last five meetings with the Manchester Club.
