Paul Merson drop shocking Manchester United vs Arsenal final score prediction including 5 other EPL games

Paul Merson believes that Arsenal will prove too much for Manchester United but warned his former side must guard against complacency ahead of their crunch Premier League clash on Sunday.

Mikel Arteta’s side currently sit top of the table, but rivals Manchester City have played one game less and will claim a historic fourth successive title if they win their remaining three Gunners.

With a superior goal difference, though, the Gunners can still win the league if City slip up but will likely need to win both of their remaining two games.

That task begins at Old Trafford on Sunday where Arsenal take on a United side reeling from their 4-0 loss against Crystal Palace earlier in the week.

Erik ten Hag’s side have won just one of their last five league games but have an impressive record at Old Trafford against Arsenal, losing just one of their previous 16 encounters at home.

The Red Devils gained a vital point at home against Liverpool last month to derail Jurgen Klopp’s hopes for a title in his final season and will be looking to build form ahead of their FA Cup final.

Merson is confident that Arsenal will be victorious on Sunday but warned Arteta’s side to not take the threat of United lightly.

‘The only thing that can work against Arsenal is their complacency,’ the former Arsenal player said, speaking to Sportskeeda.

‘They’d have watched Palace take Manchester United to the cleaners and probably thought what chance do these guys have against us, but I don’t think that will be the case.

‘They were are a well-oiled team at the moment and should win this game. That said, I’m not as bullish as I was with my prediction for the North London derby as United tend to turn up for these games.

‘If Arsenal score an early goal, this game could be over before half-time and that is what they should look to target.

‘The last few times Arsenal won the league they’ve always gone to Old Trafford and won, so it’s not a bad omen!’

PREDICTIONS: MANCHESTER UNITED 1-3 ARSENAL
