Celtics Injury Report vs. Suns: Jaylen Brown, Kevin Durant, more

Boston Celtics, Phoenix Suns, Celtics injury report, Jaylen Brown, Kevin Durant

In their first game back at TD Garden after a six-game road trip, the Boston Celtics lost to the Miami Heat. But they’ll have a chance to avenge that loss on Friday night as they welcome the Phoenix Suns. They only have a few games left in the season, and they’ll have to balance health and playing their guys, especially considering they are all but locked into the two seed.

Meanwhile, the Suns are in a tightly-contested battle for a place in the Western Conference Play-in Tournament. They are trying to fight off the Sacramento Kings and Dallas Mavericks for a chance at playing in the Play-In, which would give them a chance to make the playoffs.

Jaylen Brown is the biggest name on the Celtics’ injury report for their game against the Suns on Friday night. He’s been dealing with some lingering knee issues for a while and was questionable to play due to a right knee posterior impingement.

After Boston’s loss to Miami, Brown spoke about his injury and how he’s been dealing with it.

“I was in some pain today, but you know, just pushing through it,” Brown said. “Trying to find ways to still be aggressive and add value to the team and stuff like that. But you know, it’s just something I got to work through and manage.”

All of the guys who played with the Maine Celtics on Thursday night were either out or questionable to play on Friday. Walsh and Peterson have since been upgraded to available.
