Your New York Knicks (48–28) travel to State Farm Arena this afternoon for an Eastern Conference clash against the Atlanta Hawks (36–40). With the regular season winding down, the Knicks want to lock down the third seed in the East, while the Hawks are fighting to find their way into the postseason.

The Knicks have won five of their last seven contests but are looking to bounce back after a disappointing 124–105 loss in Cleveland. Atlanta, meanwhile, is trying to keep the wheels from falling off, having dropped four of its last five games. The Hawks currently sit in eighth place in the East and are trying to solidify a Play-In spot.

  1. Trae Young continues to be their focal point, averaging 24.1 points and 11.6 assists per game. Rookie wing Zaccharie Risacher has developed into a bright spot, contributing 16.5 points per game over his last ten tries. Despite their offensive firepower, Atlanta has struggled on the defensive end and allows nearly 120 points per game.

Today’s tilt will be the fifth and final regular-season meeting between the two clubs. The series is split, with New York winning the last one in overtime, 149-148. Karl-Anthony Towns led with 44 points and 10 rebounds, while Jalen Brunson contributed 36 points and hit the go-ahead jumper in the extra period. Trae Young kept the Hawks competitive with 38 points and 19 assists, and Atlanta’s bench outscored New York’s 48–14.
