Five Kentucky Players Ranked Among ESPN’s Top 100 NBA Draft Prospects
With the college basketball season winding down, NBA Draft projections are becoming a major topic of discussion. On Tuesday, ESPN’s Jonathan Givony released an updated ranking of the top 100 prospects for the 2025 NBA Draft, with five Kentucky Wildcats making the list. While none cracked the top 50, several saw their stock rise in the latest update.
Leading the way for Kentucky was sharpshooter Koby Brea, who came in at No. 53 overall. The 6-foot-6 wing has been one of the Wildcats’ most efficient offensive weapons this season, showcasing elite three-point shooting and solid perimeter defense. Brea’s draft stock has been climbing, moving up six spots from the previous ranking, and he was also projected as the 58th overall pick in ESPN’s latest mock draft.
Amari Williams, Kentucky’s anchor in the paint, landed at No. 78, moving up three spots. The 7-foot center has been a key defensive presence for the Wildcats, averaging solid rebounding and shot-blocking numbers. His combination of size, strength, and defensive versatility makes him an intriguing option for teams in need of a rim protector.
Otega Oweh, a powerful and athletic guard, climbed six spots to No. 86. His ability to attack the rim and contribute defensively has caught the attention of scouts, though he will need to continue improving his outside shot to solidify his draft positioning.
On the other hand, Jaxson Robinson saw his ranking drop to No. 91, falling 13 spots from the last update. While he remains a strong perimeter shooter and experienced wing, inconsistent performances have led to a slight dip in his draft projection.
Rounding out Kentucky’s representation was Andrew Carr, coming in at No. 93. The versatile forward slipped two spots but remains a player to watch due to his ability to stretch the floor and provide size in the frontcourt.
Notably absent from the rankings was starting point guard Lamont Butler, who has been battling a lingering shoulder injury for over three months. While Butler has been a crucial piece of Kentucky’s success, NBA scouts may be waiting to see how he performs when fully healthy before making any projections.
The 2025 NBA Draft is set for June 25-26 in Brooklyn, NY, and will consist of 59 total picks across two rounds. With the NCAA Tournament still in progress, Kentucky’s draft hopefuls will have an opportunity to further improve their stock and make their case to NBA teams in the coming weeks.
