Alan Shearer tip Newcastle Utd star forward as the best in premier league compare to Salah

Alan Shearer likened Newcastle United striker Alexander Isak to Mohamed Salah ahead of his team’s match against Manchester United.

Without a doubt, the £120,000-a-week [Salary Sport] man is one of the most well-rounded forwards in the Premier League.

However, Alan Shearer’s comparison of Alexander Isak to Mohamed Salah ahead of his team’s match against Manchester United may raise eyebrows among fellow pundits and fans alike.

While the Swedish No.9 has been hampered by injuries during his time at St. James’ Park, he has still managed to impress in black and white.

Not just through his finishing but Isak’s nimble feet, balletic dribbling and sublime first-touch are some of the traits that make him a forward that ticks so many boxes.

Speaking ahead of his former club’s upcoming contest against Manchester United, Alan Shearer compared Alexander Isak to Mohamed Salah.

“The manager can’t leave him out now. Not with the form he’s in, the quality he’s shown, the goals he’s scored and how dangerous he looks. The [Nottingham] Forest performance really demonstrated what he’s all about.”

“He’s a prime example of what I’d call a modern forward, more in the mold of Mo Salah or Sadio Mane than [Erling] Haaland, who is the definition of a No.9.” Alexander is an athlete, a gymnast in fact, because he is nimble, quick, and very good on the ball, capable of bringing others into the game. “He’s not like Callum [Wilson], who is more of a poacher, goalscorer, and centre-forward,” he told the Athletic.

While Alan Shearer does not appear to be implying that Alexander Isak plays like Mohamed Salah, he is emphasizing how he is a complete forward to a similar extent, which could be on display against Manchester United.

Doubt Isak at your peril, especially after his impressive performance against Nottingham Forest before the international break.
