Newcastle United are said to be interested in Napoli winger Khvicha Kvaratskhelia.
According to Football Insider, Newcastle are keeping an eye on the 22-year-situation old’s at the Italian club.
Napoli appear to want to agree on a new contract with the Georgian winger but are unwilling to include a release clause. The player is worth £140 million to the Italian club.
The winger is under contract with Napoli until the summer of 2027 and earns approximately £26,000 per week. Kvaratskhelia has grown into one of Europe’s most promising young attackers, and he certainly deserves a raise.
Napoli are willing to give him a new contract, but it remains to be seen whether the two parties can reach an agreement soon.
Real Madrid and Manchester City are reportedly keeping tabs on the winger.
Kvaratskhelia has 13 goals and 15 assists in all competitions and would be a fantastic signing for the Magpies. Newcastle’s offense requires more flair and goals. Allan Saint-Maximin has been largely unimpressive this season, and the Napoli star would be a significant upgrade.
If Newcastle manages to qualify for the Champions League, it would not be surprising if they made a formal offer for the Napoli star.
The Premier League club is one of the wealthiest in the world, and they will be able to offer a lucrative contract to the 22-year-old. They also have the financial means to pay large sums to the Italian behemoths.
