Ryan Fraser hasn’t played for Newcastle United in nearly three months.
Fraser, who signed as a free agent in the summer of 2020, hasn’t featured since coming off the bench against Everton in late October at St James’ Park Park.

The 28-year-old winger, who is under contract at Newcastle until 2025, hasn’t even made the bench in recent weeks, and he’s been linked with a move away. Eddie Howe, the former Bournemouth manager who recruited Fraser from Aberdeen in 2013, is eager to see the winger force his way back into the team.
“No, he’s not hurt; he’s training,” United’s head coach explained. “He’s simply got to keep working properly and training hard. He’s a valuable member of the team. I know him better than anyone, and I know what he’s capable of, so I’d love to see him in a Newcastle shirt again.”
After loaning out Chris Wood, Howe stated last week that he would be hesitant to let any more players go.
