Eddie Howe submit 11 powerful summer transfer wishlist as fans prepare for UEFA CL dance

Newcastle United supporters could be in for an interesting summer, with the club apparently interested in signing Harry Kane and Neymar.

Newcastle is known for its nightlife, so it’s safe to assume that not many Geordies made it to work on Tuesday.

With a 1-1 draw at Leicester on Monday, the Magpies clinched a top-four finish and qualified for the Champions League for the first time since 2003.

This season, Eddie Howe has done an outstanding job as manager, with his team playing some of the finest football seen at St James’ Park in decades.

What has been most astonishing is Newcastle’s rapid rise up the Premier League table despite not spending much money on great players.

The Saudi Arabian owners have rebuilt the squad since taking over in 2021, with a combination of astute purchases and talented prospects.

Alexander Isak, the club’s record signing for £63 million, is an exception, but that could change shortly.

Newcastle are contemplating a summer transfer window that will equal Real Madrid’s ‘Galacticos’ era, according to Spanish outlet AS.

Real Madrid president Florentino Perez spent a lot of money in the early 2000s constructing a star-studded lineup that included David Beckham, Ronaldo Nazario, Zinedine Zidane, and Luis Figo.

Newcastle’s primary target is said to be Harry Kane, whose future at Tottenham Hotspur is uncertain following another dismal season.

Spurs failed not win any trophies this season and will likely miss out on European football next season.

Kane, who has never shied away from expressing his desire to win trophies, could be swayed by a move to the North East.

Paris Saint-Germain superstar Neymar is also on the all-star shortlist.

The 31-year-old forward joined PSG from Barcelona in 2017 and has four league titles and a Champions League final appearance.

His connection with the club and its fans has deteriorated in recent seasons, to the point where he is no longer happy in Paris.

Newcastle are apparently interested in a number of players, including Leicester City’s James Maddison, Bayern Munich midfielder Ryan Gravenberch, and Chelsea loanee Joao Felix.

Eberechi Eze, Mohammed Kudus, Dominik Szoboszlai, Samuel Chukwueze, and Sergej Milinkovic-Savic round out the rumored 11-man shortlist.

This season, the likes of Miguel Almiron and Bruno Guimaraes have lighted up St James’, but they may soon have some new superstar partners.
