According to reports, a Newcastle target has verbally agreed to a five-year contract with another club, allowing the Magpies to step up their pursuit of the Leicester ace.
Since the Saudi-led takeover, the majority of Newcastle’s successful signings have come on the defensive side of the ball.
Eddie Howe is still waiting for the best performances from Alexander Isak and Anthony Gordon. However, players such as Nick Pope, Kieran Trippier, Sven Botman, and Dan Burn have made an immediate impact and all have a place in Newcastle’s strongest eleven.
